Hi All -
I am a new admin in our Tableau server and i want to create a dashboard containing the distinct number of users per project folder. We actually have 50+ project folders and we have standards per project like this project 'A' should only have 50 users to them. and this project 'A' has about 20 groups inside(with 1 -3 users). So counting the number of distinct users per project will definitely eat my time. I will connect to Tableau Server database via PostgreSQL. Please let me know if this is possible. Thanks!
You might find this thread helpful: Workbooks that a group has access to The code I provided in the thread will get you the data you need, I think. You'll just have to create the appropriate countd() calculation to get your answer. This code is not as effective now that project locks are implemented (not all permissions come from the nextgen permissions table any more) , but it will still get you the basic data of who has access to what.
