I think if you convert your 'overview' section with actual fields from your real data would be most useful. Meaning what the data looks like, raw data! You already provided what the results should look like, so that is great! The solution would largely depend on what fields are in play.
Thanks. What do you mean by overview section? My raw data looks similar to this:
Source Clicks Campaign 56 namespace1 454 namespace1 4545 namespace2 454 namespace1 4 namespace2 34 namespace1 234 namespace2 234 namespace1
So I want to have a column that will pull 'Facebook Clicks, or Google Clicks, etc.
WOW, thank you! That works!
What if my 'Campaign' column looks like this:(notice the other text before and after the 'namespace?)
Source Clicks Campaign 56 fsdf sdnamespace1 df 454 fdfds namespace1 fdfdf 4545 sdf s namespace2 dfs 454 sdfds namespace1 dsf 4 sdfds namespace2 dfs 34 dsf sd namespace1 df 234 sdf namespace2 234 sf sd namespace1
I'd then want my rows to be organized by the 'namspace' so it looks like:
Would I use 'sets' to do this? Notice how I want to have single namespace rows, although those namespaces may have other data attached.
Which data source are you connecting to? And which version of Tableau are you using? Are you connecting live or using a data extract?
I'm using a data extract. Version 9.1.
Thanks for the help Pooja
