Daniel Vincent Dec 5, 2015 8:18 PM (in response to Tracy Rodgers)So far I'm still getting used to the new layout. But the biggest thing I miss is when you're on the forum you used to be able to see whether the question has been answered or not without having to go into it.

Awesome job on the upgrade!

1 of 1 people found this helpfulTop site menus no longer have the drop-down selection ability like before. Now where you click on them you're taken to a page (where they then work as previously expected).
Example of what's now missing:

Thanks for that feedback Daniel. I'll work with the team this week to see if we can get that back in.

3 of 3 people found this helpfulWhile I do really like the preview of the latest comment, the amount of real estate that each Recent Activity takes up is far too much.
There is now less information on the screen at any given time. It requires more scrolling up/down a page to find content and there is no "refresh" widget, thus requiring a full page refresh (F5 keystroke or
).
While the latest post is nice, it needs to be optionally selectable, meaning a toggle of some sort -- typically hovering the mouse over the title:
I only get 3.5 items of activity per screen -- that is horrendously bad! Here is a screen shot example and my screen resolution for Firefox has not changed, it's still at 100%:

2 of 2 people found this helpfulCan you make the avatars a little larger, they're way too small now:
I can barely make out Rody's smile I use the avatars to recognize people; I rely upon them quite a bit, actually, when searching for particular posts.

I'd agree with Toby Erkson's comments on the screen real estate (although it didn't bother me in the preview). BUT it's also great to get more than just the subject line before you click to read more.
Q: I'm missing the Crow's Nest as well - is it somewhere that I'm overlooking ?
A: Right where it's always been

I'll see what we can do with the size of the avatars - I feel ya about seeing Rody's smiling face
One option for saving screen real estate would be to put a "Recent Content" widget instead of the one we have up there. It looks like what is on the Server Administration page.
Thoughts?

Rody Zakovich Dec 7, 2015 5:25 AM (in response to Tracy Rodgers)First off, Thanks for the comments on my Smiling face!
I have been travelling a lot lately, so I haven't got to test the new site much
But looking at it this morning, Not having the Site Map drop downs is kinda a bummer, so I agree with Toby on that point.
I'm seeing far more than the 3.5 Activities Toby is seeing, so I don't know if that has been changed already (Granted I am on Google Chrome).
I love the ability for anyone to mark a response as helpful, but I wish it could be a little more clear, Having the response in a Green/Yellow border made it very clear to see which responses helped out.
This is more difficult to find on a thread. And the Green border around Correct Answers is also a little difficult to make out (Though it could be my screen res)
Having some sort of Icon could make this less harder to identify.
These are just some of the things I'm noticing right now, but will be working on this more today.
Regards,
Rody
P.S. Love the face that the Site is responsive on Mobile now, but there does seem to be some scaling issues. I'll try to put some screenshots together on what I am seeing.

Is it possible we could also have some sort of Icon that shows whether or not the OP provided a Workbook?

Rody

It is just nice having a quick way to jump back to the home page.
I agree with Rody here. I'm missing the constant bread crumb, it isn't persistent like before.
