Thank you so much!
This may be an extremely elementary question, but where is that menu? I've been using the triangular drop down arrow on the side of the color filter on my dashboard and clicking "highlight selected items" which may be part of the problem
so it's in the Dashboard menu at the top (you can also set worksheet actions, from the worksheet menu, when in a worksheet).
when you use options like 'Use Sheet as Filter' or make a colour legend a highlighter, Tableau automatically creates a 'default' action here, but you can create them yourself from scratch and so have total control of how they work.
Here's an extreme use showing how much control you can have
Can you also mark the answer as correct (assuming it is!)...this just helps close off the question, and makes it easier for other users, with similar questions, to find an answer.
Thank you so much! I love that I get to discover so many new things about Tableau - I really appreciate your help!
And yes definitely, now marked as correct/ answered question
...can you mark the post that had the correct solution a correct...my bad for not being clearer!!
This means that post will be copied directly under the question. As the poster, you can 'unmark as correct' and then hit 'correct answer' on the one with the right solution. Many Thanks
No problem, and glad it solved the problem.
Yes the community is probably the best thing about Tableau. I've learned such a huge amount from asking/answering questions as well as all the VizTalk, Workbook library...etc.
glad to have you on-board!
