I'm trying to alias a boolean (T/F) dimension with two values: t = "Pass" and f = "Fail" -- consistent with the best practices described here: Editing boolean aliases. However, for complicated reasons I'm changing the default data type to a string (I need to use it in a calculated field with an If/Else statement that also takes in a string). When I go to publish the workbook, the aliases for this boolean-as-string are getting reset to t and f.
I'm using Desktop 9.0. Is this a known issue?
Hey Alec,
To clarify, the aliases work as expected in Tableau Desktop but not on Tableau Server after publishing? Does the behavior remain consistent with both extracts and live connections?
