# How to display a count of the visible rows?

I want to display a count of the number of visible rows - the number that you see in the lower left corner in Desktop. COUNTD(), WINDOW_SUM() and SIZE() are not working for me. I think this is due to the way I have constructed my filter. I have attached an example workbook showing my problem.

Drew,

I used the technique described by Dana Withers here:

Pull summary info into title

Used the calculation:

WINDOW_MAX(RUNNING_SUM(iif(SUM([Number of Records])>300,1,0)))

with a "Compute using " of 'Sub-Category'

and it seemed to do the trick.

Hello drew,

I think so too.

I think this is due to the way I have constructed my filter.

Your filter is based on table calculation.

My solution is ,

Minimum Results  (copy)

[Number of Record2] > [Minimum Number of Results]

Number of Record2

{ FIXED [Sub-Category]:COUNT([City])}

Then filter by Minimum Results  (copy).

The result becomes,

Regards.

Clever workaround. Thanks!

Combining the different solutions above, I created a measure WINDOW_COUNT(1), dropped that measure onto the Rows shelf, changed the measure to Discrete, then hid the header.  This made the measure available when trying to embed it in the title of the worksheet in the dashboard.  I dropped the worksheet in a blank dashboard, then edited the title.  I clicked Insert and selected my measure.  This showed the count of rows as the title of the worksheet.  Thanks to everyone above for finding the path!
