Find distinct value based on last time it was updated

Hello all, I am using tableau 9.0 and have run into a little conundrum.  Here is a small example of the table I am using.  Using Date as a filter, looking at Q1 of this year.

      Part #AccountStatusDate
      2-3018245USARetired03/05/2015
      2-3018245UNActivated03/09/2015
      2-3018245UNRetired03/23/2015

What I would like to do is only return the last "retire" per part in the selected time frame.  I have a retire reason and date as a grouped field in my actual work but it is not necessary.  This report will be ran weekly, monthly, and quarterly so I am not sure a SQL query will be the easiest.  I was thinking something with the calculated field and "last" calculation but I couldn't get it to work.  Any help is much much appreciated.  Thank you everyone and have a great week.
