Put Date field into sheet & choose week. Now, you can choose % difference from Quick Table Calculation. Compute it according to date & relative to previous value. If this will not work then try to attach your sample workbook so that we can suggest you according to what you have & what you are trying to achieve.

Create calculated field -

Put this field into column section & choose week number by right click on this new field after putting into worksheet.

Thanks Prashant. This was what I needed.

1) If I need to calculate Month Over Month/ YoY, then what should I do? should i change something in Claculated field.?

2) Why is in the View showing from Week no. 2 ?? and why are you putting 2 in Calculated Field

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Ajeet

Oops, Sorry. I forgot the default feature here. Right-click on a data source in the data window and choose "Date Properties" to set the start day of the week as Friday.

For calculating MOM or YOY, you can use % difference but that depends on what you are putting into report. Can you please elaborate that what exactly you need & which fields you are using into report.

Hi Prashant,

Thanks for getting back to me. here is the Actual data I am sharing with you. Earlier the data I provided was just a demo for my knowledge. This data is the actual one.

Name of the Data in tableau is "ShipmentData".

I actually want to create a tableau view like the worksheet named "WoW in Excel" and I created this view using the same data in excel.

How can I create this in Tableau given the Data "Shipment Data" along Destination.  So bascially I want to create WoW/MoM volumes across every Destination.

I really need to calculate for my project.

Regards,

Ajeet

You want "Destination" in filter?

Hi Prashant,

I want Origin in Filter so that I could get Volumes/Loads at a particular PickupPlace(Origin).

Thanks for getting back to me.

Hi Prashant,

- Shipment added on =  Timeline during which volumes are coming to a paricular Origin.

- Volume = Volume of Shipments

What I want is that:

Week on Week growth of Volumes coming at Origins during a period.

Filters will be on "Shipment added on" and on "Origin".

So when I change the timeline using "Shipment added on" filter, I get Volumes delivered at all Origins(or a paricular Origin, as Origin will also be one of the Filters).

Thanks Prashant
