Default label font colors has mind of its own

    Joan Dalpe

      Has anyone had this experience?

In a stacked bar chart - for example - Tableau smartly decides which label font color (black or white) belongs on a color depending on the lightness or darkness of that segment color . So on a dark blue color, the label font is white. On a light color the label font is black.

But... If you change the font for the labels, then all the label fonts go black. One minute I enjoyed the smart contrast between label and background color. The next minute, black font color gets lost on a dark blue where the font used to be white. Can't change the segment font labels individually, so that default feature is gone and my stacked bars and their labels don't look as good.

Any work around if I want a different font or is that smart feature just for Arial lovers?
