To only show first record of each Resource of a practice:
create a calc called index that contains:
Right click on the new index calc and convert to discrete.
place this on your filter shelf and set to 1.
Then change the compute using to the level of "Resource Name" and set to 1 again.
This will "hide" all but the first instance of a Resource for each Practice within a Geo.
I'm assuming you'll want to remove the CountResourceNumber calc since it will be unnecessarily always a 1.
I'm not sure what you are calculating to get 28 but to get the 16 value, do a window_sum of the first calc in your measure values. (Compute using Resource Name)
Hi Aaron Thanks for your reply but my problem is I want to count those number of 1's. If you carefully look fr the America and Cloud category the count of 1'st sums up to 16 and thats what I want to display against 28 which is the complete count of names( which I hide) . The 1's you see depends on a filter I have as to which names are available to work. For eg 28 names are total in that category and when I press a filter ( a particular date) , 14 names should be depicted in the view so that I can compare 14 with 28. How to sum up those 1's?
They don't need to be on the visualization to be summed. Did you try the window_sum calc on CountResourceName?
Yeah I tried that but that function gives the entire number which is 28 but I need 16 which is a filtered view of 28.
Too many assumptions without a workbook. Are you able to post the workbook?
My data file is huge. I will try to post a shortened version tomorrow.
