How to create a dimension from an aggregated calculated field?

I am working with a data set and need to create a dimension from an aggregated calculated field. I realize this is not something I can directly do, but wondering if there is a workaround.

In my data set I have a hierarchy of "Product IDs" to "SKU IDs". This is a one-to-many relationship, as each product may have 1 or more SKUs that sit underneath it. Right now, to understand the number of SKUs attached to each product, I am using a "countd" function on SKU ID and viewing it as a measure against "Product ID". If I change the view to use something higher up in the hierarchy (e.g., "Category"), the count of SKUs will recalculate as the count of SKUs within the category.

What I would like to do is create a dimension that is the "Count of SKUs per product" so that I can create views that post measures against that dimension.

Let me know if this makes sense. Thank you!
