You are not blind
Workers do not report these metrics back to the primary. You'd need to use perfmon or another "built in" tool to monitor individual process performance.
Out of curiosity - are you running Tableau Server 8.0.2? It includes a fix for a behavior that is similar to what you describe:
In a distributed server environment, some VizQL processes would appear to be underutilized and others appeared overutilized causing "Out of memory" errors.
Thanks for the reply. Im not looking for cpu performance. I want to see what jobs/chartRequests a particular worker is working on. Basically, what is each Tableau worker 'working on' as directed by the gateway.
Interesting about 8.0.2, as i read the Release Notes and didnt see that detail listed, just an improved memory "usage" on desktop and server. Maybe im blind afterall.
Thanks. Yes we're running 8.0.1 and Im testing 8.0.2 currently.
Yeah, that info isn't available via the admin portal. Sorry.

One option could be to install HAProxy, (HAProxy - The Reliable, High Performance TCP/HTTP Load Balancer) in front of worker servers. But it require a linux/unix knowledgeable person and a test environment.
Using HAProxy as a custom gateway one could easy monitor load, # request per second, queries etc.
Hope this helps.
