DJ Crane Apr 16, 2013 2:30 PM (in response to Derek Winter)T8 also works on Mac OSX / Mountain Lion / Win 7. However, the OpenGL graphics acceleration will not work in this mode, per item on T Knowledgebase.
In order for you to experience this speed up, the Accelerated Graphics option must be selected in Tableau Desktop (Help > Accelerated Graphics > OpenGL), and your machine must meet the requirements listed below. If the OpenGL option is disabled, then your video adapter is not supported.
- OpenGL version: OpenGL 2.1 with anti-aliasing
- Operating system: Microsoft Windows 7 or later
- Video adapter: NVIDIA or ATI Note: Intel integrated graphics is not supported with the exception of Intel HD Graphics 2000
- Other considerations: Accelerated graphics cannot be used with Remote Desktop, VMWare, Parallels, or other remote access or hardware virtualization software. Tableau does not take advantage of dual GPUs.
