Thanks Alex but not quite what I had in mind.
Assuming I am mapping sales of 3 products from Jan 2012 to Jan 2013. On Jan 2012 one product had sales of $100 the second had sales of $200 and the third sales of $300.
In January 2013 product 1 had sales of $400, product 2 had sales of $200, and product 3 had sales of $600. What I would like to show is three lines all starting at the same point on a graph in Jan 2012 and then for Jan 2013 line 1 would have risen from 1 to 4, line 2 would have stayed at 1 and line 3 would have risen to 2

To clarify, you seem to be asking for a Percent Difference From First. What do you think of this calculation? I have also attached the chart I used it in.
