I think I have the solution..if the filters have "Only Relevant Values" enabled then the filter content disappears when I change years.
With the all filters being global and common elements of each filter existing in each year-map, I'm not sure I understand why the filter contents would disappear, but indeed they do.
When 'Only Relevant Values' is selected, the selections in the filters will only show available members of that filter based on other selections/filters. For example, say you had the following data:
Colorado Furniture Jumbo Box 112 Oregon Technology Medium Box 76 California Furniture Large Pack 39
If there was a quick filter for each dimension and "Only Relevant Values" was selected for State then, when only Technology was selected in the Category quick filter, only Oregon would appear in the State quick filter.
Hope this makes sense!
I understnad how they work in general & use them often(they are handy), I'm just not sure why, when no filtering is enabled & all elements that could be filtered exists in both the 2011 & 2012 datasets, I'd lose the filter contents when switching from 2011 to 2012 (lost contents only on filters having "Only Relevant Values" enabled).
The quick filters were enabled from the 2011 map, and apply equally to the 2012 map.
Any solutions to this? I'm having the same problem.
