Hi Nelson,
One possible way to do this may be use actions. By creating a quick filter type sheet with the desired dimensions, and then using an action to run on the other sheets in your view will allow the filter to work across data sources. By holding Ctr and clicking, multiple selections can be made--you'll just have to let your users know of this capability. I have attached a sample workbook showing this.

One more queastion, I am assuming that if I have multiple dashboards I will need to create actions for each of those dashboards to make sure that all dashboards are filtered by the users selection. I am going to continue with my project in that way but I just thought I would ask to confirm. I just want to make sure that multiple actions on the same quick filter set for different dashboards.
