Would you be able to post a sample workbook (twbx file)? Or provide the calculated fields that you used?
Cody, take a look at TOTAL() or WINDOWS_SUM() functions. But Tracy is right, it would be easier to help if you could post a sample workbook.
Have you tried using a COUNT() or TOTAL() in your equation? Alternatively you could try selecting whatever your calculated field is defaulted to and picking a count from the drop down. Normally you would have to manipulate a sum as that would be the only way, but as this case involves only booleans, a count value is technically equal to a sum.
