1. Re: Exporting a view to csv results in literal "\n" characters in the file rather than line breaks
Brian Rice Jan 3, 2012 5:01 PM (in response to Jeff Goldberg)That's unusual, and hasn't cropped up in our testing. What client configuration can you report or adjust to diagnose it? Such as: browser vendor, OS version, default locale and language.

2. Re: Exporting a view to csv results in literal "\n" characters in the file rather than line breaks
Jeff Goldberg Jan 4, 2012 9:57 AM (in response to Jeff Goldberg)After updating to beta 10, I was no longer able to reproduce it using the server web gui, but still was able to reproduce with tabcmd get and tabcmd export.
I've been working with Tableau support and they were eventually able to reproduce, so it's been labeled as a bug and been assigned to an engineer.
It was on Windows server 2008 R2, US locale, English. Since the issue was narrowed down to just tabcmd, no browser versions necessary.

Jeff Goldberg Jan 4, 2012 9:58 AM (in response to Jeff Goldberg)Brian, I now notice you are also a member of the Tableau team. Sorry if my double posting to both forums and Tableau support e-mail got any wires crossed. I appreciate the help coming from both directions.
