Blending different datasources - how to get duplicate values(rows) like with joins

    Amber Krake

      Hi all,

I need to blend my tableau server data source (primary) to an excel data source (secondary) based on ID.

The problem however is, that my primary source has more ID's than my secondary source. But my secondary source has more rows to each ID, for example:

      ID (Primary)
      123
      321
      213

      ID (Secondary)Agent (secondary)
      321Mike
      321Sara
      213Tom

I need to use the tableau server as my primary data source, but when I do, the result is *.

      ID (Primary)
      ID (Secondary)
      Agent (secondary)
      123nullnull
      321321*
      213213Tom

Since I use an excel sheet and tableau server, a join is not possible(?)

Question: how do I get all ID's from my primary data source, with all rows from my secondary data source (so some ID's will appear twice, in this case with different Agents).
      Example:

      ID (Primary)
      ID (Secondary)
      Agent (secondary)
      123nullnull
      321321Mike
      321321Sara
      213213Tom

Thank you very much and I hope someone is able to support on this issue
