# How to count discounted prices?

Hi together,

we are tracking price and discounted price for different products on a daily basis. Any idea how calculate the number of products which are discounted and the average discount?

Price = Current Price

Pricerrp = List Price

Gtin = Productcode

We tried this one?

Maybe something like this?

countd(if [Price] < [Pricerrp] then [Gtin] end)

Any idea how to show the Brand and the number of Markets in which they discounted a product would it be

countd(if [Price] < [Pricerrp] then [markets] end).  ?

any idea how to not show 0 values (white square and not "0" value)

If you want to see a list of Brands with a discounted GTIN

{fixed [Brand] : max([Price] < [Pricerrp])}

Max of true/false is true. So if any price is less than a pricerrp, then it will be true for the Brand

To get a count

Countd({fixed [Brand] : if max([Price] < [Pricerrp]) then max([Brand]) end})

You can do the same for markets, just sub out Brand with Market like this...

Countd({fixed [Marketid] : if max([Price] < [Pricerrp]) then max([Marketid]) end})

Make Price < Pricerrp a separate calc field, then out that on color.

Any idea how to show the average discount per brand?

the discount on product level is right, but not the average discount on brand level.

Hi Nick,

just one more question. I try to show the number of discounted products per brand, but somehow it doesn't work:

COUNTD({FIXED [Gtin]: if MAX([Price]<[Pricerrp])then max ([Gtin]) END})

the right number for 25.03 is 9.

Can you re-port your twbx and let me know the sheet you are working on?

You shouldn't need an LOD to get GTIN discounted count, since price and pricerrp are 1:1 with GTIN.

Not sure if this helps but if I use your sheet, products by brand, i just add the calc IsGTINDiscounted to filters and select true.
