Soumitra Godbole Dec 2, 2019 11:10 AM (in response to Nick Parsons)Hi Nick,
I just remembered another childhood favorite after seeing your lastname. Something
just struck me and I wonder if you are in any way related to the great artist "Alan Parsons".
Not only is he a great singer & performer but also a great and brilliant sound engineer.
If I remember correctly he did contribute to "Let it Be" (Beatles) and "Dark Side of the
Moon" (Pink Floyd). My all time favorite was "Alan Parsons Project" hit "Eye in the Sky"
Sincerely,
Soumitra

Here is a solution that is slightly modified from the earlier one which only allowed comparison with
previous year. This one allows comparison with past N years (1-5) using 2 parameters.
Here is the attached twbx file and let me know if you have any questions. Hope this is helpful and
answers your question. Best Wishes !
Sincerely,

I gratefully appreciate the unique combination of technical expertise,
creative problem-solving, going-the-extra-mile-ness, artisanship, exuberance,
joie-de-vivre, and outright hilarity that you have been gracing the Forum with!
Thank you for all you do!

20. Re: Grand total not appearing when multiplying two calculated values
Soumitra Godbole Dec 2, 2019 7:17 PM (in response to Sameer Sharma)You're always welcome Sameer. It was really nothing and just a simple little
idea. At first I did try solving it using Table Calculations and only then I
realized that it would be much simpler and quicker using LODs.
I also thought of another visual, wherein I combine Month & Year ie something
like Aug-19, Sep-19 so you can have a continuous range of dates which span
more than a year (Currently you have a month filter and the max months = 12).
Let me know if this sounds interesting so I will go ahead and come up with
something even better. Best Wishes and thank you and all the others for their
wonderful support (both for the problem and the silly lyrics).
Lastly and most importantly, do listen to some of the Weird Al Yankovic songs
listed and also enjoy their hilarious videos. Best Wishes !
Sincerely,
Soumitra
