OBIE has a nice feature that auto seeds the cache for visualizations whenever an extract changes. This would be a giant improvement for Tableau. We have some pretty complex executive dashboards that can take 1-2 minutes to display. Currently I resort to emailing a static image to the users once a week because otherwise they are unwilling to wait for the dashboard to display.
The way I see this working is that you could check a box next to each view during the publishing process to tell the server to auto-seed the cache. In the time it takes to load up the viz from cache, Tableau could display a pre-rendered static image.
