Happy Monday all - hopefully everyone had a great weekend!
Today is the last day that I will write the Community Digest. I'll be moving into a new role at Tableau as a product marketing manager. It's a bittersweet feeling, as I have been working in the Community for the last 4-5 years! We've built an amazing place, and I am happy to say that I was a part of it. Thank you to everyone of you who has helped make the community what it is. I won't be far, and in fact, I'll likely still frequently pop in and out.
And not to worry, we've hired the perfect person to take over for me. I'd like to introduce you all to Amanda Boyle, the new Tableau Community Manager. Amanda is a recent transplant to Seattle from Aspen, Colorado. She was a Peace Corps volunteer in Tanzania and I just learned today that she speaks Swahili! She has experience in managing marketing teams, running ambassador programs, driving membership and engagement, creating and fostering healthy communities. When she's not working, Amanda loves endurance trail races and running in the mountains, adjusting to sea level, camping, snowboarding, reading, gardening, baking and exploring.
Tableau 10.3 was released last week! Things such as data driven alerts, distribute evenly on dashboards, and tooltip selection were all included - this is a version you'll want to download right away. Check out more of the features here: New Features (Oh, and did I mention that several of the ideas came from the community?! See them here: Community inspired ideas).
This week, join us for another edition of Dev Office Hours! Rubaiyat Khan and her team will be hosting - sign up here: Developer Office Hours: Editing and Formatting Text in Tableau | Tableau Software And if you're unable to join, or you want to make sure your questions are heard - post in the Ask us anything about text editing in Tableau that they're monitoring.
Congratulations to Zhouyi Zhang who achieved the "Question Slayer" badge - meaning that 50+ of his responses have been marked as correct. Thank you Zhouyi for helping so many people in the community - it has not gone unnoticed! We hope to continue see you around.
