It's another Monday - and the last of January. So take a seat, grab a coffee (or a sandwich) and let's take a look into what happened last week and what can inspire you for this week -

Do you think there could be just one best way to visualize data or could there be several? Check out this blog post by Ben Jones who discusses both points of view: Data Dialogues: To Optimize or to Satisfice When Visualizing Data? | Tableau Software. Please note if you downloaded Tableau Server versions 9.2.2, 9.1.4, or 9.0.10 - we ask that you rollback immediately due to a critical fix: Tableau Server 9.2.2, 9.1.4, and 9.0.10 Downloads are no longer available

Last week, two members of the community achieved the "I Know Stuff!" badge - that means 10 of their responses have been marked as correct. The first is Rajeev Pandey. Rajeev joined the community this past summer and has been busily helping people out in the community all the way from Hyderabad, India. Rajeev is great at posting step by step directions with instructions - thank you for your contributions and we hope to keep seeing you!

The other member who achieved this badge is actually a Tableau employee, Paul Moran. Paul works on the technical support team out of our London office and we always love seeing him help out in the community

Anthony Bour, a new member of the community, asked his first question in Setting Date Period of 27 Date Increments. Anthony got quite the response! It started with an "if statement" provided by Norbert Maijoor and Mark Fraser. However, Anthony was looking for something that was automated if possible. In come Shawn Wallwork, Jonathan Drummey, and Yuriy Fal each who provided different solutions. Ultimately, it looked like there was a combination of the solutions that solved the question for Anthony. Anthony, would you be able to mark the answer that best helped as Correct?

LoD calculations is still something that people are always trying to get their heads' around. This thread is a great example that shows how sometimes it seems as though an LOD calculation may be needed, but really the solution can be solved with just a simple if statement calculation: LOD Calculation Filtering a Dimension without using Filter Card as shown by Shinichiro Murakami and Alexander Mou.

Top Voted Idea

A couple of our ideas have stayed at the top, so I'm going down the list. Looks like we have some ties with some other ideas that are making it to the top. Eleanor Jarvis created Parameter or Filter for Storyboards just last week and so far it's received 7 up votes. I love seeing ideas for story points!
