Happy Monday and welcome to this weeks Digest.

Last week we celebrated the summer solstice.  The solstice is recognized around the world in many different ways.  From the crowds that gather at Stonehenge to the yoga inspired in New York's Times Square.   Here are the top 10 celebrations from around the world.  Whatever you did to celebrate, I hope this finds you enjoying your Summer (or for those of you south of the Equator - Winter).

Mac Chadwick Ranier Tolentino posted the question Get the hour increment of Data on June 20th.  Hari Ankem replied 20 minutes later with a request for more details to better understand the question.  Chad replied quickly with clarifying information.  Akhilesh Singh jumped in about an hour later with suggestions for reshaping the original data and modifying the original data between each refresh to achieve the desired reporting.  Thank you Akhilesh and Hari.

Happy Monday everyone and welcome to this week's Digest!

Much like Tracy last week, I begin this Digest with some news: this will be the last digest that I write as well. After three and a half years at Tableau and five years in Seattle, I am moving to Philadelphia this summer to be closer to friends and family, pursue my band, and continue along my career. I have loved my time at Tableau and am incredibly grateful to this wonderful community for welcoming me and letting me learn alongside you all. I'll be around for another month and hope to stop by this community on occasion so please feel free to reach out! :-)

With that having been said, let's start with one more "Today in History."

Today in 1939, The National Baseball Hall of Fame opened in Cooperstown, New York. The initial class included legends like Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, and Honus Wagner. Read more HERE.

Author's Note: David Ortiz included because he really should be a hall of famer once he's eligible and I will use any and all excuses to reference David Ortiz.

I'd be remiss if I didn't recognize Tracy Rodgers for her tireless work for our community over the past few years. She has been an inspiring leader and I'm grateful for her direction and friendship. It's been a pleasure and on behalf of myself and our community, thank you so much for all you've done!

Last week Nina Royce posted about recreating a tablea similar to that previously created in Excel. The table involved joins and unions on multiple data sources then showing grand totals with a difference. Sherzodbek Ibragimov stepped in to help and Akhilesh Singh may have found a solution. See it all here: Working with 2 tables Help

Happy Monday all - hopefully everyone had a great weekend!

Today is the last day that I will write the Community Digest. I'll be moving into a new role at Tableau as a product marketing manager. It's a bittersweet feeling, as I have been working in the Community for the last 4-5 years! We've built an amazing place, and I am happy to say that I was a part of it. Thank you to everyone of you who has helped make the community what it is. I won't be far, and in fact, I'll likely still frequently pop in and out.

And not to worry, we've hired the perfect person to take over for me. I'd like to introduce you all to Amanda Boyle, the new Tableau Community Manager. Amanda is a recent transplant to Seattle from Aspen, Colorado.  She was a Peace Corps volunteer in Tanzania and I just learned today that she speaks Swahili! She has experience in managing marketing teams, running ambassador programs, driving membership and engagement, creating and fostering healthy communities. When she's not working, Amanda loves endurance trail races and running in the mountains, adjusting to sea level, camping, snowboarding, reading, gardening, baking and exploring.

Jim Dehner and Joe Oppelt helped Kym troubleshoot. Finally, with some detailed posts by Joe, Kym was able to solve the question!
